How to make Apple Cider
Ingredients
- 2 liter bottle of 100% apple juice from the supermarket (preservative free).
- Browin nutrient for winemaking yeast
- Red Star Premier Cuvee Wine Yeast
Process
- Remove 100ml of juice from the bottle to make room for yeast, nutrient and fermentation.
- Add 0.4g of Browin nutrient per liter, in this case 0.8g.
- Aerate the juice by shaking it for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Add the 0.5g Red Star Premier Cuvee yeast to 50ml of 30 degree Celsius water (0.25g per L juice).
- After 5-10 minutes add it to the juice.
- Seal the bottle with plastic wrap and a rubber band
- Leave in a dark place for 3 weeks.
- Pour cider into a new bottle and wait 2 weeks (preferably in the fridge).
